Body

With the stress of planning a wedding looming overhead, your body can quickly start to feel negative effects. Luckily, there are plenty of healthy ways that will decrease your stress levels and get your body feeling more alive. Two of the biggest components to feeling better physically are eating right and exercising. Processed foods can cause  bloating, feelings of mental delay, and sluggishness, so it’s important to eat as many nutrient-rich, whole foods as possible. If you’ve historically found it difficult to stay on track with your eating, consider turning to a sustainable diet plan that will help you track foods and inform you on which foods are better options nutrient-wise than others. Beyond that, supplementing your diet with exercise is a great way to strengthen your body and get it prepared for not only your wedding dress, but life beyond the wedding as well. If exercise tends to bore you, just get your body moving in any way, such as an evening walk, dance lessons, or yoga class.

Skin

There’s no doubt that stress affects the overall look of skin—especially when considering breakouts and rashes. There are a few things to keep in mind while wedding-prepping if you want clear and glowing skin, such as moisturizing regularly and avoiding tanning beds. Among many reasons, tanning is dangerous to your skin because it exposes your skin to direct radiation, which causes wrinkles, age spots, and mutations that lead to skin cancer. Rather than putting yourself at risk while prepping for your wedding, opt for sunless tanning products that give the appearance of a tan without the radiation damage. Luckily, a lot of these products help moisturize your skin as well! Even if you aren’t using a tanning product, moisturizing is important for making your skin softer and smoother for your big day.

Hair

When you’re planning your wedding look, your hair is a big part of that decision. While you might have a color, cut or style picked out, what you might neglect to recognize is that you won’t get that pinterest-worthy look without taking careful care of your hair leading up to the big day. To keep your hair as healthy and shiny as possible, start shampooing less and use chemicals sparingly to keep your hair from looking dull and lifeless. .. The key is to shampoo your hair 4 times a week at most to avoid overwashing and stripping your hair of healthy oils. If your hair lacks the luster and volume you crave no matter what you do, consider getting removable hair extensions before your wedding to create the look you’ve dreamt of. Be sure to get them installed by a trained professional to keep your hair safe and resistant to breakage; they’ll get you ready to flip your hair on the dance floor without worrying about any extra hair damage!
