Jessica and Brendan's gorgeous fall wedding took place at TPC Sawgrass on November 5th 2011. From my first meeting with Jessica and Brendan, l could tell how in love they are with each other. They are such a fun, easy going couple, and l really enjoyed working with them. Jessica and Brendan really captured the essence of the season, choosing rich fall colors like orange, red and yellow. Rose of Sharon created a magnificent floral arbor, which was the focal point for the Ceremony, and amazing centerpieces for the Reception. Plumb Fun Photobooth provided some fun entertainment and The Cloud 9 Band kept everyone on the dance floor all night long! One of my most memorable moments of the night was the sparkler exit, where Jessica and Brendan hopped onto a golf cart to ride off into the night! Agnes Lopez Photography caught that image and of course many more! Below are some wedding highlights from Jessica and Brendan's big day!
Teddi & Chris (10.15.11) - Christ Episcopal Church and TPC Sawgrass Wedding, Ponte Vedra Beach
On October 15th, 2011, l had the pleasure of coordinating Chris and Teddi’s Wedding. The Ceremony took place at Christ Episcopal Church, with the Reception following at TPC Sawgrass.
Teddi and Chris had selected some amazing vendors, Brandy Burridge Photography, Liz Stewart Floral, and Face For Radio to name a few!
Teddi looked absolutely amazing in her wedding dress and long veil, not to be out done by Chris and his Groomsmen who sported some pretty cool bow ties!
The reception room at TPC Sawgrass was stunning, thanks to the décor set up by Liz Stewart Floral. Liz Stewart also made a striking centerpiece for the escort card table, this was one of my favorite décor accents of the day!
Teddi had so many great ideas on how she wanted things to look, and it was so great to see her ideas come to fruition! The best part of the day for me was watching Teddi and Chris dancing together with Teddi’s parents. They were all smiling and beaming with happiness, which put a huge smile on my face! This wedding was elegant, sophisticated and full of love.
Congratulations to the new couple!
Thank you to Brandy Burridge for sharing the below photographs with us!
Rebekah & Dave (5.28.11) - TPC Sawgrass, Ponte Vedra Beach
We had the pleasure of coordinating Rebekah and Dave's lovely ceremony at TPC Sawgrass on May 28th. One of my favorite moments was watching Rebekah and Dave share a very sweet and romantic first look with their family and bridal party. I can't wait to to see the rest of the photos from Corinna Hoffman! Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs! Rebekah and Dave had a great team of wedding professionals:
Photography: Corinna Hoffman Photography
Music: Event Sound Entertainment
Flowers: Kelley's Bloom Room
Officiant: Pastor Cedric Johnson
Hair & Makeup: A Glamour Bride
More photos from Rebekah and Dave's wedding will be posted on Corinna's blog next week!
Lauren & Kevin (05.07.11) - St. Augustine Wedding
I was so excited when I got Lauren's email. It read: "I interned for Heather in 2007 and she was the first person I thought of when I got engaged!" It was such a joy to spend time with Lauren again, and to get to know her parents. And to hear all about Kevin. Since he is in the Air Force, I didn't actually get to meet him until the rehearsal, but I know he is an incredible man that is perfect for Lauren.
Their wedding day was just amazing, as you'll see in the incredible photos from Brandy Burridge. The rest of their amazing team included:
- Ceremony: Grace United Methodist
- Reception: River House
- Photographer: Brandy Burridge Photography
- DJ: D'Land Entertainment (Darrin)
- Florist: Rose Of Sharon European Florist
- Caterer: Valerie Kline
- Wedding Cake: Delicious Designs by Irma Kay Strickland
This was so sweet. Although they didn't see each other, Lauren and Kevin prayed together before their ceremony from opposite sides of the door.
This is one of the most amazing reactions I've ever seen caught on camera!
The cake was cut with a sword that Lauren's parents and grandparents used at their weddings!
Love the LED lighting provided by D'Land Entertainment! These are wireless, can be changed to any color (or even changed during the event), and don't get hot.
Ready to see more? Check out Brandy's blog post for lots more photos from this wedding!
Love Note: Jessica and Brian (04.16.11) - TPC Sawgrass, part 2

- Officiant: Rev. Craig Grandstaff, Sr.
K & L (10.23.10)
I love commitment ceremonies. Or same-sex weddings. Or whatever term you want to designate, since we aren't lucky enough to live in state that recognizes them as "marriage." When today's featured bride came in for her first meeting, she was clear. This would be a "wedding," and would be treated as such. We put together an amazing team of wedding professionals, including: Venue: The Lodge and Club at Ponte Vedra Beach Florist: Liz Stewart Floral Designs DJ: Y? Entertainment Photography: Kris Graham Photography Videography: In Motion Video Productions Ceremony Music: Magnolia String Quartet Cake: Classic Cakes Linens: Connie Duglin Chairs: Flaire Event Rentals
It was truly a beautiful day! The weather cooperated, as did the "ring bearer" - the brides' Boston Terrier, Berringer. Thanks for letting us share your wedding day with you!
Jennifer & Ryan (05.30.10)
We had the pleasure of coordinating Jen and Ryan's beautiful wedding at the Sawgrass Marriott Resort and Spa on May 30, 2010. Here's a peak at the slideshow created by their photographer, Ken Godwin: Vendors:
Ceremony and Reception: Sawgrass Marriott Resort and Spa
Ceremony Music: Kyle Wehner
Reception Entertainment: The Faze Band
Photography: Ken Godwin Studio
Videography: Digital Dream Productions
Floral: Anything With Plants and Flowers
Christina & Brandon (02.27.10)
I had the pleasure of meeting Christina and Brandon a few months ago. They had their venue, San Marco Preservation Hall, booked - and knew they HAD to have MoJo BBQ for the reception! Christina also had some ideas on decorations, but needed help pulling everything together.
Having both ceremony and reception at San Marco Preservation Hall meant that we needed to bring in everything we needed for the reception - tent, tables, chairs, linens, service staff, and everything in between.
We called Kirby Rental to handle most everything we needed, and booked service staff from Hospitality Staff. Since February weather is so unpredictable (especially this year!), we rented outdoor heaters from Rollin' Ritas, and we certainly were glad we did when the wedding day high was 52 degrees!
Christina wanted an upscale-barbecue feel for the reception, so we chose brown pin-tuck linens with celedon green napkins. Her centerpieces were adorable - Mason jars filled with succulents created by the bride, and fresh, loosely arranged flowers by Anything With Plants.
Christina and Brandon didn't want the traditional DJ and dancing that we see at most receptions, so they opted to have their favorite trivia host provide entertainment.
The cake fit their lemon theme perfectly - Classic Cakes created a lemon cake with fresh raspberry filling that was to die for!
Photographer Kristen Barger captured all the wonderful images - we can't wait to share more. Congrats to Christina and Brandon...

Love Notes: Lindsay and Erik
I love getting mail, especially when it is a comment card from a wedding! I received this lovely feedback from the mother of the bride following Lindsay and Erik's October 10th wedding:
Coordinating plans between Chicago and Jacksonville really required anticipatory guidance, etiquette guidelines, advice and recommendations to keep us on course. Heather did a FANTASTIC job! The best help was the wedding day - we could leave everything to her and her assistant Emma. I didn't relax until then. I will highly recommend her.
Heather responded promptly and professionally to all our phone calls and emails. She was pleasant, calm, and helpful, and very accommodating My daughter and I are very detail oriented and Heather was knowledgeable about all the specifics during our discussions. That was very reassuring!
Celeste and Michael (10.24.09)
I have to preface this post by saying I did not coordinate this wedding. I was instructed to be a guest, and I tried my hardest! Celeste is my oldest cousin, and couldn't have been happier that she chose our hometown of Orlando for her wedding. But when she announced it would be at Walt Disney World, it was even better! Mike and Celeste both have a long history with the mouse, and since they were engaged at Disneyland it was only fitting that they say "I Do" at Disney's Wedding Pavilion. After a perfect ceremony with the Florida sun gleaming off Cinderella's Castle, we boarded buses to the reception at EPCOT.
Cocktail hour was hosted at Italy's Isola, a small island overlooking the World Showcase Lagoon. The view at sunset was beautiful! And what entertainment - pop sensation Taylor Dane was performing next door.
We were escorted in to the American Adventure Rotunda for a scrumptious Southern-inspired dinner of pork medallions, mashed sweet potatoes, and green beans. Celeste and Michael had chosen an orange theme (the fruit, not the color) - each table was named with an orange-crate label, and the centerpieces were stunning glass vases filled with sliced oranges. Each lady received an orange pashmina on the back of her chair - which would come in handy shortly. Mickey, the "Mouse of Honor," even made an appearance and posed for photos with the guests.
After dinner, we went back outside to Isola for dessert - and to watch the Illuminations fireworks/laser show! What an amazing ending to the evening.
But the highlight for me was the incredible "first dance." You see, Michael has a broken foot. So since he wasn't able to "dance," the newlyweds came up with a great alternative:
(I'll probably get in trouble for posting this, but hey, that's what family is for)

Lauren & Jeff (07.11.09)
We were so happy to coordinate Lauren and Jeff's wedding at TPC Sawgrass!
The day started with the ladies getting glammed up by hairstylist Casey Powell and make up artist Kimtasha Armstrong. The bridesmaids all looked amazing in their celadon gowns, but Lauren stole the show in her classic, lace covered mermaid gown.
Every moment was captured by photographer Agnes Lopez and videographer Turner Classic Weddings. I can't wait to see the photos and video in a few weeks! In the mean time, here are some snapshots that I took with my camera:
The white backdrop and lighting by PRI Productions transformed the Sunset Room into a spectacular ceremony setting. Even the groomsmen commented on how different the room looked from the day before!
The floral design and decor by Liz Stewart Floral Design was impeccable. Lauren and her mom chose options that created a vintage, at-home feel, with four different floral arrangements on the guests' tables. The tables were covered in a sophisticated champagne satin cloth and then topped with the Baccarat overlay from Tablewraps.
Lauren and Jeff had lots of family photos that we displayed throughout the second floor of the clubhouse.
This one is a bit fuzzy but thought I would post it anyway. The Ponte Vedra Room looked stunning! More great details to come...
Love Note: Michelle + Jamaal
One of the best parts of my job is getting thank you notes from our lovely couples after the wedding. This morning, I found this note from Michelle and Jamaal in my stack of mail:
Heather,
Thank you for making our day stress-free and perfect. Your interpretation and execution of ideas is flawless. You did a great job and made our day that much special. Couldn't have done it without you. God bless, thanks again.
Michelle & Jamaal
Michelle + Jamaal in Florida Times-Union!
Sexy April newlyweds Michelle and Jamaal were featured in Sunday's Florida Times-Union! In case you missed it, here is the article by M.C. Finotti:
Never underestimate the resolve of a high school sweetheart.
Jamaal Fudge and Michelle Gibbs didn't formally meet until their senior year at Ed White High School in 2001. But Michelle had watched the shy, handsome football standout for months, especially in the cafeteria.
"I loved seeing him inhale his lunch, as if it was going to get up and run," said Michelle, laughing. "He was serious about his chicken nuggets."
One day, Michelle - who also describes herself as shy - approached Jamaal.
"I went up to him and I said: 'I just want you to know I like you,' " Michelle, now 25, recalled. "Then I ran away."
Jamaal didn't know what to think. "She ran off before I could say anything."
But he answered back a few days later when he inscribed a football card to Michelle, signing it: "Your friend, Jamaal."
The two soon became inseparable, spending the rest of their senior year and the summer before college together.
In the fall, Jamaal, now 26, left to play football at Clemson. Michelle went to the University of Central Florida and FAMU, where she majored in biology.
The two stayed together several years, but the physical distance between them took its toll. Both eventually started dating other people. But they remained friends, keeping in touch with e-mails and phone calls. And they always saw each other during the summer back home in Jacksonville.
Jamaal returned to Jacksonville in 2006 to play special teams and back-up safety with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Michelle and Jamaal started seeing more of each other, but only as friends. Then Jamaal hit Michelle with a bombshell: He was getting serious about his girlfriend from Clemson, who had gotten a job up North.
"And that's when I got really scared. I thought I was going to lose him forever," Michelle said.
But Michelle grabbed hold of Jamaal's heart and wouldn't let go. The soft-spoken Jamaal explained it this way: "I prayed, and I talked with my mother," said Jamaal. In the end, he decided to marry Michelle.
The two said "I do" April 25 at The Lodge in Ponte Vedra. Jamaal is now a safety for the Atlanta Falcons, and Michelle will attend a chiropractic school in Atlanta this fall.
Jamaal's cousin, Marvette Tooks, says she thinks it was a good thing they both tried dating other people because they were both so young when they first met. As Marvette put it, "We always knew they'd end up back together."
