You're Engaged - Now What?
Congratulations! You’re engaged! But now where do you start? There are so many things to think about, so we asked our team of wedding planners for their best tip to newly engaged brides and grooms.
Don’t Over-Plan
A wedding is a party, not a performance. It’s a time to be present with your family and friends to celebrate your marriage. Avoid the urge to schedule every minute of the day, or have a million little details that no one will notice but you. Focus on moments or special touches that are meaningful to you and your guests, and then enjoy them!

Communication Is Key
Have a conversation regarding what both of your visions are for your wedding day, so you both understand your wants for your big day. Once you have your vision, establish a budget and keep everyone in the loop of this, especially those who are financially contributing to the wedding. This way everyone is on the same page and there are no hidden surprises. Communication is key throughout the whole planning process and for life together in general!

Enjoy The Journey
Take a deep breath and enjoy the journey. Soak up all the exciting moments to come. The planning process does not have to be stressful. This is your chance to twirl around in gorgeous gowns, smell fragrant flowers, taste delicious cakes, stroll through your dream venues, and let your creative juices flow.

Stay Organized
Before you start reaching out to vendors and venues, create a wedding email. That way all emails regarding your wedding are in one place and you don't have to search for emails in multiple inboxes. (For example: joneswedding2021.) Also create a wedding folder that holds all your important wedding information such as your vendor contracts, your budget information, calendar, meeting notes, and any other information important to your wedding. Just like your wedding email, this will help you stay organized during the planning process and you will have everything you need in one place.
