5 Ways To Incorporate Your Personality To Your Wedding
You’ve confirmed all your vendors and have your Pinterest board ideas pinned with inspiration for your wedding. Now you are trying to figure out how to incorporate your personalities into your wedding. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here are 5 ways you can incorporate your personality and add personal touches to your big day!
ADDING YOUR MONOGRAM AND PERSONALIZATION
One of our favorite ways to add a personal touch is including your monogram! From the menu cards, dancefloor, to the favors, we love a good monogram. Need help figuring out the proper order of initials, here’s a great cheat sheet for you!
Another option is to include menu cards at each place setting. Whether you are having a plated dinner or buffet, these are always a great way to add a small personal touch to the table settings.
Ceremony programs are also a great way to add that personal touch to the ceremony. From traditional folded programs to fan programs with fun details about you and your fiancé, this is a great option to add a little extra touch!
INCORPORATING YOUR PETS
For so many of us, our fur babies mean the world to us and we couldn’t imagine them not being there on one of the biggest days! So why not include them! If your venue allows pets, a fun idea is to have your florist make a floral collar or adding a bow tie and have them walk down the aisle and stand by your side.
If your venue doesn’t allow pets, not a problem! Include them in your engagement photos and have them on display at your wedding. Another fun option is to have your signature drinks named after them and include a cute watercolor photo or sketch of them on the bar! Not only will they look cute, but your guests will also love it!
PERSONALIZED OR PRIVATE WEDDING VOWS
This gets us emotional every time our couple decides to write their own vows to one another. Hearing the words they share with each other is so special and is a great way to include special moments into your ceremony.
Having a wine box included in your ceremony is a special way to hold onto your personal vows; you keep them with a bottle of wine and open them on a later date or on a special anniversary.
If you want to keep your vows private or don’t like public speaking, we suggest sharing a private moment before the ceremony to read your vows to one another. This also makes for a special photo opportunity!
MEANINGFUL MEMORIES
Including photos and memories from where you first met or photos from your favorite trips, there are so many ways to include those memories. We always love seeing this with the groom’s cake. Whether it’s his favorite place to eat (how cool is this Chipotle groom’s cake?!) or his favorite sports team, this is a great way to include those thoughtful touches to the wedding day.
ALTERNATIVE GUEST BOOK IDEAS
If you know a traditional guest book will sit on a shelf and never be looked at again, a great way to add your personality is a unique guest book! We love when couples have a unique guest book like a sports jersey of their favorite sports team. We also love guest books that you can incorporate in your home like a wooden sign that has your name and date. This is great so you can always be reminded of your wedding day and those loved ones who celebrated with you!
